KiDA Halloween 2013.

This is my 5th year (I think) doing this party. This year it was for 250 people. I
have amassed quite a collection of things! The challenge is to try to
make it look a little different each year...put things in different places, add new fabrics, games and signs etc.
I already have some grand change ideas for next year.

Decorating pumpkins is always the biggest hit.

 So until next year...Happy Halloween!

SLIP N SLIDE PARTY...

A summer football party....
BEST OF ALL WAS THE GIANT SLIP N SLIDE!

Some more pics of the party...Food...Swimming...and Bday Fun.

He just was so thrilled there was a football on his cookie.
He showed everyone and wouldn't eat it!

Darling Boy. Happy Birthday.

MACKENZIE AND BLAKE.....THE LONG VERSION

Such an exciting and emotional weekend.
Did I mention emotional? Yes, very.
They could be models in a bridal magazine.
The photographer is absolutely amazing. I just love everything she did.
I couldn't have been more happy with the pictures..!
Stephanie Zeltner -- Joie de Vivre Photography
Here is her work.

First, the couple...Kenz and Blake. Absolutely crazy in love and it shows.

Kenz was such an easy and grateful bride to work with. My best ever for sure. She was busy with school, so she just loved everything we did for her.
Trent and Haley found her veil at an antique store. Trent insisted on the bracelet too.
Did I mention she wore my dress?
We had the sleeves cut to above the elbow...and the front lace on the bottom of the dress
was cut up to tea length. She left the neck just as it was.
I love how it was adapted to 2013...and I love that my Kenz wanted to wear it. It was all her idea.
These pictures capture what an angel child she always was and still is.

Next a few shots at the Temple.

Our darling Flower Girl.
And then the group shot.
(a few had left by then)
The Newmans had their family shots taken...
I raced home to get ready for the reception! We had
some shots taken later.

The Wedding Party
(Notice the bridesmaids had giant shoes...Kenz went flat. We didn't
think of the pictures!)

On to The Reception.
Library theme. An outdoor and green library that is. ha

Now, I have been working on the decor details for months...with Haley as my assistant. Lauren
swooped in a week ahead, thank goodness, and the Modesto Walkers came to the rescue as the three of us were just about worn out.
Here we go. Details, the things I love.

First up, the "sign in table"
I filled it with green.

I grew succulent restarts for MONTHS for
the favors.

Napkins came with a crossword puzzle.

We had scrabble pieces on every table.
The Centerpieces were long wooden "troughs" filled
with miniature succulents and flowers in the center.

Some Family Shots
(Can you tell it was over 100 degrees?) And our groom was missing...so we had
to take pictures without him!

Baby Uprising...

The Bridesmaids
Lu, I love the flowers we did...(with help from Haley, and others) Lauren and I love going to the flower mart and designing the bouquets etc. The succulents are cut from my yard! What would I do without my daughters to pull things off? My very best friends for sure.

and Flower Girl.
Next the men-folk.
Some of the Food..

The Cake
 The first Dances...

The Bouquet

So much dancing...

My son Blake did the lighting effects...loved it!
Sparklers !
The end of the wedding story.
Off to China. xo
