What a special weekend. The Kiddos

came home and we had a big bash for family and friends.

60 years of marriage.

And my Daddio turned 80 to boot.

Because the Navy was such a big part of their lives...

I chose a Nautical theme and borrowed a bunch of my Dad's artifacts for fun.

First the party details...

Lettuce / Tomato  SAILBOATS.

The kids liked our OCTOPUS.

But the absolute HIGHLIGHT of the party...

WELCOME TO THE RABBIT HOLE....ALICE IN WONDERLAND SHOWER

I just returned from a road-trip moving

Haley back from her summer internship in

Nashville. We stopped in Utah to

do a wedding shower for Haley's and

Kenzie's Roommate, Lauren.

Lauren has always loved Alice in Wonderland,

so that is the theme Haley chose.

(We used my vintage linens and teacups

for a tea party.)

 

(Luckily our Lauren lives nearby and so it was a

Haley, Vicki, Lauren collaboration) 

Kenz was taking finals!

  We made the centerpieces out of stacked up 

china, moss and flowers.

 

Kida Halloween Carnival

Yes this was an October affair...

and I am just now posting this in January.

I do this carnival every year, but this was a new facility

and was so much more suitable.

Great big open spaces!

Private Corporate Dinner September 2011

This project was so much fun. It was chic, exclusive and I was

thrilled to work with an amazing chef and a really talented florist.

The client wanted it to be edgy...

As edgy as a fundraiser for Autistic children can be.

I am just posting it now even though I worked my tail off

to pull it off in September!

BIG LIGHTS -- BIG CITY 2011 PRE-PROM PARTY

Here it is... my last Pre-Prom Party.
It was a rustic elegance theme with burlap table toppers,
paint cans and pails, and mattress-ticking fabric.


AND TONS OF KIDS!

SOOOO MUCH food--and Dessert!

And then off to Prom !
