Kida Halloween Carnival

Yes this was an October affair...
and I am just now posting this in January.
I do this carnival every year, but this was a new facility
and was so much more suitable.
Great big open spaces!

Private Corporate Dinner September 2011

This project was so much fun. It was chic, exclusive and I was
thrilled to work with an amazing chef and a really talented florist.
The client wanted it to be edgy...
As edgy as a fundraiser for Autistic children can be.
I am just posting it now even though I worked my tail off
to pull it off in September!

The Presentation Board, Menu
and a few pictures.

BIG LIGHTS -- BIG CITY 2011 PRE-PROM PARTY

Here it is... my last Pre-Prom Party.
It was a rustic elegance theme with burlap table toppers,
paint cans and pails, and mattress-ticking fabric.

AND TONS OF KIDS!

SOOOO MUCH food--and Dessert!

And then off to Prom !

OH THE PLACES YOU'LL GO -- CHEER BANQUET

MY LAST YEAR IN CHARGE OF THE CHEER BANQUET.
(Off goes my youngest child.)

I loved this theme from Dr Seuss' Book
"Oh, The Places You'll Go."

It was a sea of Seuss Hats and each girl took one home.

Here Comes the Green

Here comes the green. And the spring Holidays!
First, St. Patrick's Day...

Then everything sort of just morphs into Easter...

My Next Project...

I have a thing about repurposing.
Here is my dining room done over a weekend.
I painted over-all and re-faux painted the fireplace.
Then I made chair covers and took a silver-leafing kit
and re-did a lot of the metal finishes.
(along with a bunch of clearance framed mirrors from HomeGoods.)

I fell in love with this mirrored buffet from HomeGoods.
It was cracked in 4 places and marked down to $89.
I was able to repair the cracks with a windshield repair kit from
the auto-supply store..!
