NEXT STOP...CHRISTMAS!

THE BOYS' FOOTBALL TREE.

AND OVER MUCH TOO FAST.
sigh. Next, comes Valentines.

BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME.

IN PREPARATION FOR THE HOLIDAYS,
I TRANSFORMED MY ATTIC INTO...

The object was to repurpose many of my children's old things
and make them worthy of the next generation.
Blake's circus trunk, all the rockers and tables
and even the doll house was from over 20 years ago.
YES, I HAVE BEEN SAVING THEM THAT LONG
FOR THIS OCCASION.

...AND THE BLUE SHUTTERS...were from my little girls' playhouse.
I made my husband save them the day he tore it down!

The column in the middle of the room became an apple tree. They are
attached with velcro, so they can be picked!

I covered this old table with bathroom tile, used peel and stick kitchen flooring, and
used all my old frames with vintage children's book prints.

The desk, a family treasure

The Play Table I named "Gramma-town" and made street signs etc with my
grandchildren's names. Then Gramma-town was decorated for Christmas!

It was worth all the work when I got the reaction I was waiting for!

Just wait til Easter...

CENTERPIECES...FREE...CHURCH...MAKE DO!

This was a church luncheon for 75.
No money was spent on decorations.
I made the table scarves from some
fun Bohemian skirts I saved from
a few summers ago!
My theme in this economy is...
REPURPOSING.

A NIGHT OF MAGIC...

THEME-A NIGHT OF MAGIC.

AND JUST LIKE MAGIC...THEY WERE GONE.
