There were 13 "booths" in all...so much fun and tons of things to sample and activities to do.
No one wanted to go home!

GRADUATION CELEBRATION...THEME: HALIENS DO EXIST-- Shes's Out Of This World

Her nickname is Halien the Alien...So I went with it...

Blow up aliens lurking in every corner...

The ALIEN CUPCAKES in their spaceships

I reused my Mardi Gras pillow covers (see next post)...right colors, kinda spacey and festive.
Green glowsticks everywhere...under all the linens
Double-decker roll spaceships

There was glow everything...glow sticks, glow bracelets and necklaces, flashing glasses, alien hats, glow cups, and centerpieces!
Fiberoptic centerpieces...Tacky? Ya, but tacky was what made it fun!

GOHS Grad Night June 2009....MARDI GRAS THEME !

I am a magnet for projects that have no money to spend.
I really had to be resourceful on this one. I used donated paint,
old existing panels, sheets of discarded industrial foam core for the masks...and
hit the 99 cent store..

These giant masks were so fun -- 6 feet by 4 feet -- huge statement --
Painted them in my kitchen...3 am

25 Background panels to paint...10 feet by 8 feet.

I made 25 pillows to throw around...then covered the undesirable couches with makeshift coverlets ... and Voila! 200 Balloons on the floor disguised the ugly carpet...kinda amazing camouflage.

Great Oak High School Cheer Banquet...Black And White Party

Favors for each girl....perfect for part of the table decor!
The Venue was beautiful, linens, balloons...all that was left for
table decor was $125 for 25 tables....
que the paper pinwheel flowers, greenery and
branches from my backyard...
and lots of stuff from my party boxes!

From Kansas to OZ...

The creative challenge at church is to be creative without spending
any money....isn't it amazing what you can do?
And how long it takes you to move your stuff back
into your house afterwards...
